OCTAEVO Mushroom Paper Sculpture 1

The folding took me about half an hour and I was worried I'd crease it wrong, but the tabs line up really cleanly. It sits on my desk now and everyone who comes over asks where it's from. A nice quiet activity for a rainy afternoon too.

Didn't expect a flat pack of paper to turn into something this sculptural, but the 3D folds lock together perfectly and it holds its shape on my shelf. Took me about twenty minutes to assemble while half-watching TV, and my kid keeps asking to make one too.

I was skeptical that paper could look this organic, but the mushroom’s gill texture under the cap is stunning once assembled. Took me a cozy evening with a podcast, and the pieces fit so precisely that no glue was needed. It’s now the weirdest, most wonderful thing on my shelf.
